Claude Châtelier is a journalist and freelance writer, known for his weekly column in the prestigious newspaper Le Monde, where he publishes suspense and mystery stories. He had always managed to balance his professional and personal life, but, for no apparent reason, his creativity faded, leaving him at the mercy of a writer's block that seemed endless.
Frustrated, he decides to walk through the streets of Paris on his way to the newsroom, hoping that the scenery around him might rekindle the spark of inspiration. What he never imagined was that this walk would change his life forever.
Along the way, under a torrential downpour, Claude runs into Marie, an old college classmate -- and his unspoken love. Over cups of tea and scattered memories, she tells him a story she heard long ago, a tale shrouded in tragedy, mystery, and a curse. As he listens to every detail, Claude feels his inspiration return, but he doesn't realize that by hearing this story, he is already trapped in it.
From that day on, strange events begin to unfold around him. What once seemed like just a story comes to life in an unsettling way, and Claude realizes he can no longer ignore the signs. Determined to find answers, he ceases to be merely a listener and becomes part of the story.
What started as a simple conversation turns into a dark journey, where past and present intertwine in a dangerous way -- perhaps with no way back.
