Description

This small ebook is a precursor to an extended, printed collection of poems.
Carrying You Always is a deeply personal collection of poems. The words came out of the silence and shame surrounding miscarriage and baby loss, trying to encapsulate the pain. It gives a voice to some of the loneliest and darkest days, with the hope that these words can offer some help, even just a little.

We need to talk more about miscarriages, about loss, and about grief. It may not be easy, but it is important. This book is dedicated to those who walk this path. This is for those grieving. This is for those who want to understand.

Praise for Before the Full Weight:

The heartbreak of miscarriage is unlike any other... difficult to articulate, yet impossible to forget. In this poignant collection, Miriam invites the reader into a tender journey through grief, resilience, and the paradoxical blend of raw sorrow and fleeting joy that define the experience. This book is more than poetry -- it is a sanctuary.
-- Sarah Barrezueta, @thatmiscarriagegirl

I applaud Oglesby for sharing the raw parts of motherhood that others want to look past. I feel this collection will be tremendously helpful to women everywhere -- to those who are sitting in the pain and to those who feel inspired to walk someone through it.
-- Gina R. Briggs, Author

Every poem in this short collection felt like a candle lit for someone who's grieving, for every loss the world tries to ignore. This is a book that doesn't look away from pain. It meets it. Holds it. And somehow, in its honesty, offers healing.
-- Lizzie Hammang, Author

Whatever your loss, and wherever you are along your path to healing, Oglesby meets you there and walks beside you on your journey. Peace.
-- Emlynn McDermott, Author

Miriam, your poems truly give a voice to those who feel invisible and carry their pain quietly. You've expressed it with such beauty and honesty -- thank you for sharing this gift.
-- Christiana T. Johnson. Miscarriage and Baby Loss Coach

Those who have experienced loss and deep pain will find themselves remembered and deeply moved by this work. Miriam Oglesby's words give shape to her personal grief and transform it into a language that reaches beyond the individual - connecting us and reminding us that in our pain we are never alone.
-- Stephanie Cuff-Schoettle, Psychologist, Founder
About the Author
Miriam Oglesby was born in 1993. Miriam is a British writer living in Germany. A feminist in tech, she is passionate about languages in all forms: how they can empower to connect, learn, and heal. Her writing honours what is often unspoken, particularly in women's lives.

She is convinced that writing and talking help her immensely with handling tough topics. Miriam seeks to not only make sense of her own experience, but to help others feel seen, heard, and less isolated in theirs. When she is not writing, she is learning languages, building communities, and scouting joy and beauty in the everyday.
