Description
An indigenous teen and his estranged father embark on a treacherous river journey. A clash of cultures and misunderstandings. Can they survive and heal their relationship?
In 450 BC, a fifteen-year-old boy and his mother live as outcasts on the periphery of their Peruvian jungle village. All the teen has ever wanted is to be accepted by the community. But when his mother dies, and his father is part of an invading party that destroys his village, his life is turned upside down. When he and the only other surviving teen boy from his village are captured by his father's people, their journey becomes fraught with danger. Will his father represent the biggest threat of all?
Has the teen finally found a community that will accept him, or will the beliefs of his father's people result in him being their next human sacrifice?
