Description
In the winter of 1890, a violent storm strands Eleanor Murphy at a remote lighthouse on the Cornish coast. Injured and trapped by harsh weather, she finds herself at the mercy of the tower's enigmatic keeper, Thomas Penhallow. Their forced proximity, scandalous by Victorian standards, only adds to the tower's growing mysteries. As winter storms rage, Eleanor discovers the lighthouse holds as many secrets as the silent man who tends its eternal flame. Local legends whisper of madness, curses, and a darkness that lurks in the tower's shadows.
Thomas knows he should maintain his distance from the beautiful stranger fate has delivered to his door. His self-imposed exile exists for a reason, and the lighthouse's history warns against letting anyone get too close. But as he teaches Eleanor the ways of keeping the light, he finds his carefully constructed solitude beginning to crack.
As winter's grip slowly loosens, both Eleanor and Thomas must confront the ghosts of their pasts and the uncertainty of their future. In a place where the line between safety and imprisonment blurs with each passing day, they'll discover that some lights burn brightest in the darkest of nights.
