Description

She needs an escape. He offers his protection. Risking his heart isn't part of the plan.

1956, England. Dane Wellington doesn't believe in love -- but he believes in honor. The sworn bachelor spent years watching his father rescue his tenants' daughter, Katie, from disaster. When Dane discovers Katie's well-meaning parents have pressured her to accept reality and a wealthy brute, honor compels him to act.

His solution: a platonic marriage, just until Katie turns twenty-one and can claim her freedom. It's temporary. Uncomplicated. A duty fulfilled.

Dane's father believes that Katie is Dane's destiny. That his son will love her evermore. But Dane's past wounds run deep, and his heart is carefully guarded.

Under his father's guidance, Katie transforms -- blossoming from a desperate girl into a stunning woman who believes that love is life's greatest gift. But when tragedy strikes, their shared grief and some unscheduled bed-sharing catapult Dane and Katie's friendship into a yearning that eats through every sworn boundary.

Katie discovers a treasure worth fighting for -- even if loving him tears her apart. She's fallen for a man who refuses to love.

With their marriage near its end, Dane faces his worst nightmare: wanting her more than his next breath. The three pivotal words she needs to hear might be those her true love can never say.

Was his father right? Will Dane protect his heart -- or love her evermore?

Love Her Evermore is a steamy, slow-burning romance featuring tropes such as marriage of convenience, friends-to-lovers, grand romantic gestures, the reluctant bachelor, millionaire men, innocent and uneducated heroines who blossom into strong women, family bonds, and class differences.
Medium spice.

REVIEWS:
From Cynthia, Goodreads: 5*
"Love Her Evermore swept me right back into the 1950s with all its glamour, music, and emotional intensity. Katie and Dane's love story is tender, fiery, and filled with heartache in the best possible way. I adored the slow burn, the stolen glances, and the way their relationship unfolded with such tension. The playlist element was a lovely bonus it made the reading experience even more immersive!"

Love Her Evermore is the author's inaugural book and it's excellent. This novel is a very sweet romance that should push all the buttons for those seeking a temporary escape from current events. The author gives us compelling characters, a look at the crumbling English class structure during the 1950's and a plot that's somewhat similar to the old popular musical, My Fair Lady.
There is some spice here, but they're tasteful. wholesome love scenes between the FMC and MMC. The spicy scenes in Love Her Evermore are beautifully written, which is something that can't be said for many popular, best-selling authors.
