Tea, Trauma, and a few demons.

Olea didn't expect to find herself in a world so different from her own. Not the least because the people here are very... nice.
That's not an issue of course, except for the fact they can't feel negative emotions, and treat death with the same indifference as a half-eaten sandwich stolen by a spoiled cat.

To Olea, who brought her grief of losing her family with her across worlds, it's not exactly a better place to be. But it is... somewhere.

Then there's the demons, and Matthew. Not associated with each other of course - except for when he has to go into the depths of the forest to find Olea after she's unwittingly lured in there.

Apart from that, it's a rather idyllic and peaceful life full of baking, festivals, and flower picking.

If only those damn demons weren't still trying to lure Olea into their clutches. She doesn't know why they want her, and frankly, she's too busy trying to get off the island to find out.

Matthew is her best chance at escaping, and he's more than happy to flee with her. After all, he is the only other person there who can see that it's not actually okay to live surrounded by a forest teeming with demons. And the longer she stays, the more danger she puts herself and everyone else in.
