Description

Let a Dog Lead the Way. The Healing Will Follow.

Some dog stories are just for kids. A Dog Story - Misty's Healing Power is for anyone who's ever needed healing, or offered it - whether you're nine, nineteen, or ninety. This multi-generational tale of resilience shows the power of freely offering, and sometimes accepting, healing. When people feel they aren't strong enough or wise enough, they can let a dog lead the way.

When Jenny, a lonely and quirky baton twirler, spots Misty in a dog shelter, she sees more than a stunningly beautiful Husky with a gunshot-tattered ear and a defeated spirit.

To her weary father's dismay, Jenny adopts Misty for one mission: to join her baton routine in a parade. Misty, aloof and emotionally checked out, wants nothing to do with it. Then a chance encounter with a troubled tween boy reignites the dog's drive to heal and inspires Misty to turn her healing energy toward Jenny as they perfect their routine.

Misty soon begins to struggle with an illness, but she presses on with Jenny. A tragedy nixes their routine but compels the determined dog to focus her remaining time on helping her new family heal and to spread that healing, with all its unifying power, throughout their community.
