Three young pigs -- Joy, Shaun, and Mike -- set out to build their own homes. Joy, being lazy, built his house with straw; Shaun, a little better, built his with sticks; but Mike, hardworking and wise, built his with bricks. When a hungry wolf came, he easily blew down the straw and stick houses, forcing Joy and Shaun to flee to Mike's sturdy brick home. The wolf tried but could not destroy it, and when he climbed down the chimney, he fell into a pot of boiling water. Safe at last, Joy and Shaun regretted their laziness, rebuilt their homes with bricks, and all three pigs lived happily and securely.
