India in the 1920s.
The country is stirring with rebellion against British rule, and so is Surya. An idealistic young man, he dreams of freedom- not just for his country, but from the expectations of his controlling father. One fleeting moment during a Congress session is all it takes to change his life forever. Surya's encounter with a breathtaking Lord Krishna Vigraha leaves him feeling an inexplicable connection to it; an emotion he shares with his cousin and unspoken love, Malati.
