Description

Belfast, 1987. The city is on a knife-edge. Sectarian violence shadows every street, but Detective Sergeant Nevin Brown faces a darker predator -- someone who stalks young women and murders them with cold precision.

Nevin is convinced the killings are the work of one man: Kane, a ruthless IRA enforcer whose bloody past stretches back across decades and borders. But Kane is no ordinary killer. Trained, cunning and protected by powerful allies, he slips between Belfast's alleys with terrifying ease, leaving corpses in his wake.

From covert RUC surveillance operations to backroom deals, Nevin must fight politics, paramilitaries and his own superiors to bring Kane down. As the body count rises, the line between war and crime blurs -- and one wrong move could cost Nevin his career, his life, and the woman he loves.

Based on the author's own experience in the Royal Ulster Constabulary, Double Kill is perfect for fans of Gerald Seymour, Frederick Forsyth and Lee Child.

Meet the Detective
Detective Sergeant Nevin Brown is Belfast CID's most relentless investigator. At just thirty-five, the years of bloodshed have already etched themselves on his face. Respected by his colleagues and feared by criminals, Nevin has an instinct for killers that borders on uncanny. He is uncompromising, willing to defy orders and clash with superiors if it means getting justice. He doesn't drink, he doesn't play politics, and he doesn't bend the rules unless the case demands it.
