Description
I came home for winter break to reset my GPA, not to get wrecked by the town's hottest doctor.
Dr. Bennett is thirteen years older, ridiculously gorgeous, and the kind of man who probably has opinions about wine pairings. I live on gas-station coffee and wear flannel like a badge of honor. He's polished, controlled, impossible.
And somehow... he keeps looking at me.
One snowstorm.
One stupidly small town.
One man who becomes a problem the second he calls me sweetheart in that low, careful voice meant for patients -- not girls like me.
He's everything I shouldn't want:
Too old money.
Ivy degree.
Too good at keeping his hands to himself even when I'm actively tempting fate.
But the longer I'm stuck here, the harder it is to pretend I don't feel it -- the heat, the tension, the way he watches me like he can't decide whether to kiss me or run.
Then his famous, gorgeous ex shows up, dripping in money and perfect cheekbones, calling me the mistake he should never have made.
Cute.
Because the way he touches me doesn't feel like a mistake.
And the way he whispers my name definitely isn't temporary.
Winter can expose what people try to hide.
And what we found in that tiny snowbound town?
It's real.
Messy.
Hot enough to melt the ice off every rooftop in Vermont.
If he's brave enough to choose me -- and I'm reckless enough to stay -- we might rewrite everything we thought we knew about love.
