Description
Jonas isn't Bigfoot, he just gets paid to maintain the myth.
Living alone in the mountains, Jonas appreciates the solitude and peace the wilderness provides. It also helps him keep his unusual line of work a secret. Mostly, he puts the scare in local hikers, leaves a few trace samples of fur, but when adventurers push too deep into the forest, the nights turn violent.
After several high-profile 'accidents' are written off by authorities as bear attacks, tabloid reporter Shirley Codwell notices a pattern and sets out to unravel the truth. Convinced that the killings are the work of a legendary beast, she calls the monster-hunting community for assistance. The situation spirals when a History Channel crew and a reckless adventurer enter the forest, dragging the myth into the spotlight.
As the walls close in, Jonas moves to defend the myth at any cost.
A Man of the Mountain is a dark comedy thriller set in the Nick Ventner Adventures, blending cryptids, conspiracy, and survival in a story that escalates fast and ends violently.
