The blistering summer heat is followed by a cool fall breeze, then just as quickly by blizzards. Akira struggles to adjust to the weather in this new world, but he is not the only one shivering in the cold. When winter sets in, bloodthirsty knights are temporarily hindered from entering the forest and attempting to neutralize the new threat posed to the Kingdom of Empras (i.e., Akira).

As the seasons change, Akira does manage to make a few new innovations -- or reinventions -- that add a bit of comfort to his new life. Even with inexhaustible mana, there's nothing like a little wine and freshly baked bread to make the work of curse cleansing go by quicker.

But Akira is no longer the only force that Empras must contend with. Gunmilze, a senior knight in the king's court, has finally had enough of his monarch's flagrant disregard for the dignity of sentient beings. Though he can't be as bold as Akira, his conscience still compels him to stand up against the monarch's evil.
