Description
Bradon is accustomed to making the best of a life lived under the choices of others. He did not choose for his Alpha brother to lose the family's fortune. He did not choose to become the sole staff-member left to caretake his brother's household. Bradon most definitely did not choose to enter a lottery to settle family debts, or to become the latest Omega sent to appease a mysterious, cursed Beast. When he is surrendered in the woods to meet the lottery's terms, Bradon expects that the last choice left to him may be how much dignity to gather for his premature, painful end.
He is rather astonished, then, by the number of choices he soon finds as a prisoner in an enchanted castle. During the month-long term of his stay, Bradon is free to fill his days as he pleases, and is offered every comfort the castle and staff can provide. It doesn't take long for Bradon to decide to enjoy all he can of hot baths, beautiful gardens, a well-appointed music room, and a glorious library. He even has the time and tools he needs now to begin planning for a life of independence from his brother.
Most surprising of all in the situation, though, is the Beast. The Alpha, cursed to the form of a Were out of children's stories, has a garden. He enjoys music. And if the choice had been his, he would never have brought any Omegas to his castle.
Before Bradon's time runs out and he's returned to his brother's house, finding the man inside the Beast may be the most important choice Bradon's made in his life. It's a tale as old as time in this Omegaverse retelling of the classic fairy tale.
