Description
Two hockey players, who are very different from each other, find themselves attracted to each other in this steamy new adult sports romance from queer indie author Kent Holland.
Two years ago, Cort Styleton made one of the biggest mistakes of his life, a mistake that landed him in the hospital and got him kicked out of an Ivy League school. Now, he's at a different university -- Crownbridge University in Canada -- and he's finished his year of suspension from playing hockey. He can finally hit the ice again, but the place that promised a fresh start and a new beginning might not be able to deliver. His past won't leave him behind, and as his year begins, he finds himself haunted by the decisions he made and facing new choices that test his newfound resolve.
Henri Bellancourt has politics in his blood -- literally. He has always known exactly how to work a room, how to make sure everyone is happy, while still getting exactly what he wants. This exact skill, though, might prove to be his downfall as he finds himself the captain of the Crownbridge University hockey team and learns that future opportunities come at the cost of unpleasant favors. When he's asked to spy on the Cort Styleton, the new member of his team, he finds that Cort is far more interesting than he expected.
Forced together by their team, but sticking together because of far more important reasons, Cort and Henri face difficult decisions, collegiate and academic pressure, and uncertainty about their respective futures. When scandal and potential tragedy strike their college and their team, the two young men are forced to confront the darkest parts of themselves and question whether they can find hope and comfort in something stable: love.
